Lily Clara Brooks, who survived the Epidemic - was presented with:
"This little copy of the New Testament......As a memento of God's providential care in preserving the lives of 41 Scholars of our School, who, with 1,912 others were stricken down with the Fever in Maidstone, in 1897".
Given by : Week Street Church Sunday School, TYPHOID EPIDEMIC 1897-8, "I was sick, and ye visited me"
Lily was born in 1884 and died aged 97. Many thanks to her Great Granddaughter, Sarah Curl for that information.
